Sparkle Studio

Learn some simple and flexible jewelry making techniques and then let your imagination run wild! We will make basic stringing projects, learn how to finish a necklace with a clasp, and create personalized pendants.  Students will create several easy demo projects and then have some freedom to create their own designs.  All projects can be adapted to meet students where they are and make sure that they have something to be proud of! 

Laurel Maughan is a French teacher and speech coach in the Upper School. Her passion for language extends to a love for storytelling, performance and the arts. She enjoys all manner of crafts and creative projects.  Melanie Bentley is an artist and former Montessori teacher.  She previously owned Fandangle Bead Store in Stony Point Shopping Center and is excited to share what she knows with the next generation of beaders!
