Become a FUNDay Advocate

Visit the Collegiate FUNDay campaign page 
Create/login to a GiveCampus user account
Use the sharing buttons (near the video and in the 'Advocates' section) to share the campaign via email, text message, and/or social media.

Social Media

Social media is a great way to engage and spread awareness of Collegiate FUNDay! Make sure you are following us @collegiaterva on Instagram and Facebook so you can like and repost FUNDay content to your followers. If you want to go further than resharing our content, you can create your own social media posts to engage and promote FUNDay to your following. Below you will find a list of ideas to get you started as a FUNDay social media advocate!

Tips for FUNDay:

Include #CSFUNDay24 on your posts
If your account is private, you might want to make it public for the day. If you have a private Instagram account:
- Your content won’t appear in the #CSFUNDay24 hashtag feed
- Your posts and stories will be not re-shareable by Collegiate
- The Collegiate account will not be able to see your posts and stories

Create an Instagram Story
Instagram story ideas:
- Premade Graphics
  - Download our premade graphic templates from the column on the right.
- Selfie in Collegiate gear
  - “Wearing my green and gold today in honor of Collegiate FUNDay!”
- Throwback photo from your time at Collegiate (Alumni)
  - “Giving back to my alma mater today for Collegiate FUNDay. Classmates, join me in supporting #CSFUNDay24!”
- Children wearing their spirit wear (Parents)
  - Think of this as similar to a first day of school photo. “We are ready for Collegiate FUNDay 2024!”
- ‘Add Yours’ Template
  - On the morning of FUNDay, Collegiate’s Instagram account will share a story with an “Add Yours” template. When you are viewing the story, you can click the “Add Yours” button and upload your own story to participate in this chain of Instagram stories!
*Don’t forget to:
- Add our GIF stickers to your stories! (Look at the instructions below for details)
- Add a giving link button (Instructions below)
Add a Sticker to Your Instagram Story

GIF stickers are a great way to make your Instagram stories fun. Once your Instagram story is prepared, click the face button in the top right corner and type @collegiatecougars into the
search bar to add fun, Collegiate stickers to your stories.
Add a Giving Link to Your Instagram Story
1. Copy this link: www.collegiate-va.org/funday
2. Prepare your Instagram story
3. Click the face button in the top right corner (photo example above)
4. Click on the link button
5. Paste the URL
6. Click ‘+ customize sticker text’ and add the text you want on your button (‘give now’, ‘join in the fun’, etc.)
7. Click ‘done’ and your link should appear on your story. You can change the color by tapping it, move it around your screen to change the location, and pinch it to change its size.
Create an Instagram/Facebook Post

- Change your Facebook cover photo
  - Changing your Facebook cover photo for the day is a subtle but effective way to spread awareness! When you change your cover photo to our temporary FUNDay cover photo (download from the column on the right), your friends will see this update in their timelines. It's a great reminder when they are scrolling through their feeds that it is Collegiate FUNDay and that you are a supporter.

- Tag Collegiate
- Use the Hashtag #CSFUNDay24
- Add the link to our Give Campus website to promote gifts (*Note: you can only add links to Facebook posts, not Instagram posts)
Create a LinkedIn Post
*We recommend posting and promoting around two weeks ahead of FUNDay!

Looking to get the word out to your professional community? This guide will help you get started sharing on LinkedIn.
1. Follow Collegiate’s LinkedIn account.
2. Connect with your peers and fellow alumni.
3. Re-share our posts about FUNDay
4. Create a post informing your followers about FUNDay 2024 and encourage them to share your posts about the campaign. Add a link to give. Don’t forget to use our hashtag #CSFUNDay24 and tag Collegiate.
