Middle School Mastery is a five day, half day camp designed to help rising 5th & 6th graders enhance their executive functioning and study skills. Through engaging and hands-on activities, participants will learn essential skills and strategies for planning, organization, time management, and more. Led by current and former middle school teachers Alice Innes and Sarah Leonardelli, the camp focuses on fostering independence and boosting confidence, equipping students with tools to tackle middle school more effectively.
This camp is intended for students entering middle school and is open to students from all schools but is not required for students ,specifically, entering middle school at Collegiate.
Alice Innes is a Spanish teacher in the Lower School at Collegiate. She has a B.A. in Spanish from Wake Forest University and a Masters in Education from George Mason University. Alice has over 15 years of experience teaching Spanish at the elementary, middle and high school level. Additionally, she designed and piloted a school-wide executive functioning program while teaching middle school in Fairfax County.
