Intro to Dance Choreography

Are you a rising 6th, 7th or 8th grader who loves to dance and is also interested in creating choreography? Dancers will spend the afternoon working on dance technique, learning the necessary tools of choreography and creating their own original dance pieces! Dancers and choreographers are in the driver's seat and will decide on themes, music, movement and titles, as they work through the choreographic process. Choreographers will present their works in an informal showing on the last day of camp. No experience necessary!

Stacy Dudley created the dance program at Collegiate in 2001. She currently teaches dance to Middle School students and instructs 3rd Grade Dance Companies. Stacy is also a Middle School advisor to 7th Grade girls. Stacy has danced professionally with RADAR, Z Mullins Dance Company and the Starr Foster Dance Project. This will be Stacy’s 23rd year teaching dance for Summer Quest.
