Celebrating Student-Athletes on their College Commitments

Collegiate School’s Director of Athletics Andrew Stanley, coaches, teammates, and families gathered in Oates Theater to celebrate 13 student-athletes from the Class of 2025 for their commitment to continuing their careers as NCAA athletes. Congrats, Cougars! You make us proud.

Harrison Baxter, Baseball, Rhodes College

“Harrison is truly a grinder. He never stops working. Throughout his three-year career on our varsity team he has continually gotten better. He is a great, very selfless teammate and operates with a team-over-self mindset.  He’s always willing to do anything and everything to help the team and the program. I’m so excited to see that effort and enthusiasm carry over to Rhodes College.”

-Andrew Slater, Head Coach

Jett Bristow, Baseball, University of Virginia

“Jett is a tremendously athletic player with very loud tools. Truly, if you listen to him hit the ball, it just sounds different with how the ball comes off the bat. He has raw power and strength. He has speed, and he’s really fun to watch. He’s really grown in his approach to his work and his preparation. He shows up every day. He works hard, he does his best, and he’s continually getting better, which is really fun to watch. That talent, in combination with his work habits and those tools, really makes him a great player. I know he’s going to do great things at UVA.”

-Andrew Slater, Head Coach

Jack Dooley, Lacrosse, Hampden-Sydney College

“Jack stepped into a starting role in defense this past year and played a huge role on that side of the field all season. We asked Jack to cover some of the best attackmen in the state during games, and he rose to the challenge each time. His physical presence and solid stick work are huge components of his game. Hampden-Sydney is getting a great player, and we’re so excited to see what he accomplishes.”

-Jason Archbell, Head Coach

Holt Hopper, Lacrosse, University of Tampa

“Holt played a critical role in our team last year. He was asked to play left side on attack, which is not his strong hand, alongside two division-I athletes and, unselfishly, he took on this role so well. He has gotten more comfortable in leadership roles, which is so great to see, and I know the University of Tampa is getting a great athlete and a great guy.”

-Jason Archbell, Head Coach

Blake Ingold, Lacrosse, Colby College

“Blake played a big role in the midfield last year. He has speed, strength, determination — all of which are present in his game when he’s on the field. He has overcome tons of obstacles to get to this moment today, and I couldn’t be more proud of his toughness and resilience throughout the recruiting process. He is a tough, selfless leader. He is a fantastic fit for Colby College, and I know they are getting a tremendous, resilient athlete.”

-Jason Archbell, Head Coach

Ryan Lewis, Soccer, Davidson College

“Ryan came to Collegiate as a 9th Grader and her impact was felt immediately. She scored 53 goals, 18 assists, and 14 game-winning goals in her Collegiate career so far. She can play anywhere, and, more importantly, she plays with a team-first mentality. We’re really excited to see all that she accomplishes at Davidson.”

-Rob Ukrop, Head Coach

Bella Little, Lacrosse, Georgetown University

“It isn’t often you see a defender get all the accolades they deserve, which is why it is a true testament to how incredible Bella Little is that she has been recognized with All-LIS, All-State, and All-American honors. Aside from the accolades, Bella would drop anything for any of her teammates, and she continues to push everyone to be the best they can be. She gets our toughest matchups every game and is a force all over the field. I’m so excited to see Bella thrive this spring and see all the big things she can do at Georgetown in the future.”

-Elizabeth Toohers, Head Coach

Carter Mitchell, Baseball, College of William & Mary

“Carter has had great offensive ability throughout his career with us. He has real, legitimate power and has the ability to consistently put together competitive at-bats. He works hard and he prepares with rigor. We’re all really excited to see Carter’s next chapter at William & Mary.”

-Andrew Slater, Head Coach

Will Quinby, Baseball, Rhodes College

“Will is a super athletic and versatile player. He has great positional flexibility, and he has a tremendous willingness to do whatever it takes to support the team. Although he’s quiet, he is a fierce competitor and possesses a consistent approach to the daily grind. We wish him the best of luck at Rhodes.”

-Andrew Slater, Head Coach

Kennedy Richardson, Lacrosse, University of Florida

“Kennedy led our team last year in goals, ground balls, and draw controls. She draws our opponent’s best defender every game and handles the pressure with grace. She’s quick and fast and a threat all over the field. Florida is so lucky to have Kennedy next year, but first, I can’t wait to see what she does this spring.”

-Elizabeth Toohers, Head Coach

John Seevers, Lacrosse, University of Denver

“John was an All-State selection in goal this past year and has been an anchor on defense. John has grown so much in his two years of being on varsity. His competitive fire pushes everyone in practice on both sides of the ball to be better. He never lets a teammate off the hook for a missed ground ball or defensive assignment. I’m so happy for John to be able to live out his dream of attending and playing at the University of Denver.

-Jason Archbell, Head Coach

Celie Shield, Lacrosse, University of Rhode Island

“Celie is the ultimate teammate. She approaches every single day with the mindset of making herself and everyone around her better. Because of her incredible work ethic she is an absolute difference maker both on and off the field. We’re so lucky to have her on our team and we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes at Rhode Island.”

-Elizabeth Toohers, Head Coach

Nico Zeballos, Soccer, Davidson College

“I have not coached Nico, but I know he is a tremendous soccer player. We miss him here at Collegiate, but he still does great work on the field. I know he’s a terrific kid, a great attacker, and an amazing teammate with a lot of skill. I’m so happy for him and we will all be cheering him on at Davidson next year.”
