Swim Team Movie to Premiere JULY 21

Former Collegiate swim team coach David Stott will premiere his feature film Coach of the Year at the Byrd Theater on JULY 21, 7 pm. (A red carpet event begins at 6:30 p.m.) The film is based on the true story of the Cougars' 1996-97 Swim & Dive season, in which the team attempted to win a championship without a pool for practicing.

David, son of our current coach Mike Stott, wrote and directed the film which features many Collegiate students and alums both on screen and on the crew list. Championship meet sequences were shot at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center.
