Collegiate Names New Vice President of Development
Kristen Williams has been named Collegiate School’s next Vice President of Development.
Mrs. Williams brings to Collegiate more than 20 years of development experience from both the higher and secondary educational levels, and holds a bachelor of science degree from Ohio University and master of science degree from Georgetown University.
She will transition to Collegiate from the University of Richmond, where she has served as Director of Volunteer Board Relations in the Office of the President since 2011. In that capacity, Mrs. Williams has developed, implemented and managed comprehensive programs for a broad range of University-wide, as well as school-based and program-based volunteer boards and advisory groups populated by University of Richmond alumni, parents, donors and friends. She also has been instrumental in developing and executing elements of advancement and campaign strategy, at the direction of the President.
At Collegiate, she will provide leadership for the School’s short- and long-term fundraising initiatives—overseeing annual fund, major gifts and capital campaigns, legacy and planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, alumni relations, and development events.
Collegiate Head of School Steve Hickman is delighted to welcome her to the School.
“Her extensive development experience will be very important as our community continues to invest in the future of Collegiate School,” Mr. Hickman said.
Prior to joining the University of Richmond, Mrs. Williams served in a wide range of senior-level fundraising and alumni relations positions at Norfolk Collegiate School, Northwestern University, Loyola University Chicago and Georgetown University.
