Dress Code
Our primary goal is to have a Lower School student body that is neat in appearance and is dressed appropriately for School activities, including physical education, trips off campus and special assemblies.
It is recommended that all students wear athletic shoes each day for safe playground/recess play. For physical education classes, students are required to wear athletic shoes that lace and tie, or are secured with Velcro strap(s) and laces/elastic bands.
Shorts, dresses, and skirts are to reach mid-thigh (for most students, fingertip length).
When wearing leggings/yoga pants, students must wear with tunic tops, skirts, or dresses that are mid-thigh length as opposed to shirts that do not meet the length requirement.
Shirttails are to be tucked in unless an outfit is designed to be worn loose (long-sleeved rugby shirts).
Denim clothing is permitted except blue jeans.
Belts must be worn if belt loops are present and collared shirts must be worn if the student is wearing pants.
Students may not wear: hats (indoors) or bandanas on the head, blue jeans, or sweat/yoga pants, athletic clothing, tie-dye or camouflage clothing, flip-flops (shoes that have a strap between the toes and no rear strap), beach or athletic sandals, tank or spaghetti strap tops or shirts that reveal midriff, clothing with frayed or raveled hems, T-shirts with printed text, shirts with printed text, athletic pullovers and sweatshirts with printed text other than Collegiate or a college name.
