Employee Benefits
RETIREMENT PLAN
The School offers a generous matching contribution to a 403(b) Retirement Plan through TIAA for all employees scheduled to work at least 50% FTE. Eligible employees are automatically enrolled at the 5% contribution level when they are eligible and the School makes a matching contribution up to 7% for the first 9 years of eligible service and up to 10% after 10 years of eligible service.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
The School offers eligible employees who work at least 75% FTE the opportunity to enroll in one of three medical plan options through Anthem, including two high deductible health plans and a more traditional option. Employees can choose to enroll dependents in the plan. Plan premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis
DENTAL INSURANCE
Collegiate offers employees working at least 80% FTE the opportunity to participate in a voluntary dental insurance plan through Delta Dental. Employees can choose from either a High Option plan, which offers coverage for preventative, basic and major services, or a Low Option plan, which offers coverage for preventative and basic services. Premiums are deducted from pay on a pre-tax basis.
FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PLAN/HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT
Eligible employees who work at least 80% FTE have the opportunity to participate in pre-tax savings accounts through either a medical flexible spending account or a health savings account. The School makes a contribution to either of those accounts for employees who enroll at the beginning of the benefit plan year in September. Eligible employees can also enroll in a pre-tax dependent care flexible spending account.
LIFE INSURANCE
The School provides life insurance coverage to eligible employees equal to one times the employee's annualized salary, rounded up to the nearest $1,000. The School pays 100% of the premium for this basic life plan. Employees also have the opportunity to purchase additional voluntary coverage for themselves or their dependents.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
The School provides a long term disability benefit for eligible employees. The benefit provides income protection for qualified employees covered under the plan.
OTHER VOLUNTARY BENEFITS
Collegiate offers a variety of other voluntary benefit options such as an Enhanced Vision Plan, Critical Illness and Supplement Accident coverage plans, Identity Theft Protection, College Savings and access to various discount programs.
TIME AWAY
Collegiate School provides employees paid time away including sick days, holiday periods and vacation time (for 12 month employees). Sick days are earned based on the number of months an employee is scheduled to work in the year.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Collegiate is committed to supporting the professional growth of each faculty member. Full time faculty may apply for a grant for summer professional development and may also be reimbursed for conferences and seminars during the school year.
FACULTY COURSE WORK GRANTS
Collegiate will reimburse faculty who are pursuing an advanced degree or for course work designed for certification or re-certification.
LAPTOP COMPUTER PROGRAM
All full-time, and select part-time, Collegiate teachers receive a laptop computer that is replaced according to a regular schedule. Additionally, the school provides Internet access to teachers on campus.
PERSONAL COMPUTER PURCHASE PROGRAM
Employees may purchase computers for personal use through payroll deduction, with an interest-free loan.
TUITION REMISSION
Tuition remission of 50% per child per family, up to two children per household enrolled.
AFTER-SCHOOL CARE
On-site after-school care.
MEALS
Lunch is ordinarily provided to all faculty and staff daily during the School year.
