Get ready to unleash your creativity and dive into a world of hands-on crafting at "DIY... Mania!" This camp is designed for middle school campers who are ready to explore the coolest crafting techniques and make awesome projects they'll be proud of. Whether you're a crafting newbie or a seasoned DIYer, this camp will take your skills to the next level with exciting tools and materials that will make your creations pop!
You'll dive into a variety of fun and trendy projects. You'll learn how to create custom tote bags using sublimation, design and cut vinyl with Cricut, and master the heat press to make one-of-a-kind designs. Want to make your own personalized tumbler or etch a glass vase with stunning designs? We've got you covered. Plus, you’ll get to experiment with wood burning paste to create intricate designs on wooden surfaces and even explore the world of resin for unique, glossy projects.
We’ll also dive into digital design using Canva, so you can create custom graphics and illustrations to add to your DIY creations. Whether it's for your tote bag, tumbler, or another project, you'll have the chance to learn how to use digital tools to make your designs truly unique.
The camp will be led by Melanie Gregory, a Collegiate Technology Teacher and Cricut Certified Instructor, and Jamie Jones, a talented Junior Kindergarten Associate Teacher with a passion for crafting, sewing, and embroidery. Together, they'll guide you through each project, offering expert tips and tricks to help you achieve your best work.

Melanie Gregory is Collegiate’s Lower School Technology Integrator. Melanie has incorporated digital art into her teaching for almost 10 years.
Jamie Jones is a Junior Kindergarten teacher here at Collegiate - just finishing her fifteenth year teaching. She has an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications - Creative Advertising and a Master's Degree in Counselor Education - both from VCU (Go Rams!!). When not traveling with her husband and two children, she can most likely be found in her craft room - sewing, embroidering, and crafting away!
