The Art of Connection

Come join Collegiate's Lower School Counselors for a week long adventure of art, social emotional learning and connection! This camp is designed to help children build self-awareness, learn to manage emotions, and strengthen relationships to self and others through activities and expressive arts projects. Each day will be packed with hands-on activities, meaningful discussions and fun creative outlets designed to help kids thrive emotionally and socially.

Kelsey Felton is one of our lower school counselors at Collegiate. Kelsey has worked at Collegiate as a school counselor for 8 years, and has worked in education as either a teacher or counselor for over 17 years. Kelsey has a Master's Degree in counseling from UNC and Master's Degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech. She has a passion for using strengths based approaches to help students build skills in executive function. 

Anne Hogge is one of our lower school counselors at Collegiate. She has worked at Collegiate as a school counselor for 7 years and has been a school counselor since 2009. She has a Master's Degree in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech and is a National Board Certified Counselor. She is currently working  towards gaining licensure as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) which she will attain in August 2025. Her approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, practical strategies and a strong commitment to helping her students reach their personal goals.
