Intro to Debate Team

Get geared up with all the tools to debate with confidence and compete with the Collegiate Upper School and Middle School debate teams next year! In this fun engaging camp, we will introduce students to the skill of competitive debate while building their toolbox of speaking and presentation skills to become powerful and dynamic speakers. Upper School Speech and Debate Team coaches will teach the fundamentals of argumentation, enabling middle school and upper school students to develop core argumentation skills that boost confidence and self-esteem. Through drills and games and mock debates, we will learn the art of constructing sound arguments through logic and research. Students will have all the basic skills necessary to join the new Upper School and Middle School competitive Speech and Debate team in the fall.
