Mountain Biking Competes in First Race as Official Collegiate Sport
Saturday, April 9, 2016, Mountain Biking traveled to the Miller School in Albemarle, Va for their first interscholastic race. The team competed at the boys' and girls' JV level against many schools with well-established programs. While everyone biked above expectations, the most notable performance was from Claire Tate '16 who finished 3rd in the girls' JV division with a time of 46:21.05.
Coaches Brad Cooke and Bill Rider said that the other coaches and Race director were very impressed by what our young team has accomplished in just a few months. This team has a bright future at Collegiate!
Their next race is Tuesday, April 19 at Forest Hill Park at 4pm. Go Cougars!
