Kindergartners Meet “Their” Seniors

Today, Collegiate’s senior Class of 2016-17 met with Kindergartners for one of the School’s most cherished traditions: a year-long pairing off to build personal friendships.

The two classes of students connect throughout the year, and seniors serve as the Kindergartners’ buddies and role models.

“It’s one of the most memorable events of the students’ Collegiate career,” said Debbie Miller, Head of the Lower School. “It’s a bond that they never forget and one that transcends the school year.”

Upon meeting her Kindergartner, 12th Grader Tess Perry expressed her thoughts on the event.

“I have someone who is looking up to me and someone I have to set a good example for,” she said.
