Upper School Clubs, Mosaic and Sports Discussion, Host Joint Forum
Recently Collegiate’s Upper School Clubs, Mosaic (an inclusion club) and Sports Discussion hosted a joint forum to deliberate Colin Kaepernick's choice to kneel for the national anthem.
With a diverse group of nearly thirty students in attendance, the gathering provoked thoughtful discussion addressing a variety of opinions and views on Kaepernick's controversial personal statement about civil rights and moral progress. Students had the opportunity to not only address Kaepernick’s decision, but the history behind it, where the United States of America is today, and what will happen in the future.
