Collegiate School’s campus will transform into an art gallery next Monday, April 16, with more than 800 pieces of JK-12th Grade student work on display during Art Walk.
This year’s theme, Notice!, will feature artwork in various media including sculpture, ceramics, drawings, prints and mixed media.
“Notice! is an invitation to viewers to slow down with family and friends, and take time to discover the nuances and details of the works and world around them,” said Dana DuMont, Collegiate’s Visual Arts Department Chair.
In addition to viewing artwork from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Collegiate faculty, students and families can enjoy live jazz and a picnic dinner. The artwork will remain on display for three weeks to allow visitors more time to peruse the exhibit.
“With so much thoughtful work on offer in more than a dozen spaces, the breadth and depth of our artists' conceptual and technical knowledge begs time for observation and contemplation,” Ms. DuMont said.
